Solo AI consultant

AI shouldn't make you human middleware.

I'm Jon-Paul. I build the AI systems that carry work from one tool to the next, so you stop copying, pasting and chasing.

An orange mascot sits beside a glowing crystal light bulb. Icons for email, calendar, chat, code and documents feed into the bulb, and finished work comes out the other side.

Sound familiar?

You became the glue in your own business.

It creeps in quietly. One app for leads, another for invoices, a chat tool, three dashboards, and a spreadsheet nobody admits is load-bearing. Each one promised to save you time. None of them talk to each other. So you do.

You copy the lead from the inbox into the CRM. You paste the numbers from one screen into the next. You chase the update nobody logged. Somewhere along the way you became the thing holding it all together, a person doing the job the software was supposed to do.

What AI should be doing is the connective work. Reading the email and pulling out what matters. Carrying the record from one system to the next without you in the middle. Drafting the follow-up so it's waiting for your yes.

That's what I build. A system that lives in your business, not in one person's head. You own it outright. No lock-in, no black box, no one holding the only key.

Before and after

Before and after: who carries the work between your tools

Today, you are the connection.Copy, paste, chase, repeat.

With a system, the work carries itself. You approve whatever leaves the building.

What I build

Infrastructure, not another tool.

I don't sell subscriptions and I don't resell someone else's chatbot widget. I engineer systems that fit the way your work already runs.

Lead and CRM automation

One agent takes in each new lead. Another adds the company details. A third drafts a personal reply and queues it for your review. Your CRM fills itself while you spend time on the leads that need a human.

  1. New lead captured
  2. Company details added
  3. Reply drafted

In practice: a private aviation broker's new leads are read, researched and logged in HubSpot, with a reply draft waiting. Live when I handed it over.

Documents and systems that talk

Reports land in an inbox or a field app. My systems read them, check the data and flow it into the tools you already use. No copy and paste in between.

  1. Report arrives
  2. Data pulled out
  3. Logged in your system

In practice: for a property restoration contractor in Australia, I designed and delivered the workflow that writes each job into Simpro. In the final test run, the totals matched to the cent.

Guardrails you can trust

Your AI doesn't send an email without your review. It doesn't make up client names. It doesn't go rogue on a Friday night. I build approval checkpoints, audit trails and monitors that catch silent failures and stop bad data before it spreads, because I've spent 25 years in IT, marketing and operations and I know what breaks.

The rule: a person approves anything that leaves the building.

Not sure which of these fits? Bring me the messiest workflow you have and we'll find out.

How it works

Map it first. Build it second.

I don't start coding on day one. I start by learning how your work really flows.

  1. Map the real workflow

Not the org chart version. The real one, including the spreadsheet everyone leans on.

  2. Pick where AI pays off

Where it saves the most time, not where it's coolest. Some things stay human, and I'll tell you which.

  3. Build with guardrails in

You sign off on the design before a single line is written, then I build and test it on your real data.

  4. Hand it over

Documented, working and yours. You don't need me to keep it running, and you don't need a ten-person team either.

It's just me, on purpose. You work with the person who does the work, with no account managers in between. If a job ever needs a specialist, I'll tell you before anyone else joins.

Proof

Done experimenting? So were they.

My clients had already tried the demos and the weekend-with-ChatGPT approach. They wanted AI that does the work, plugs into what they already use, and doesn't need babysitting.

Charter lead engine

Reads new charter leads, researches each person, logs the deal in HubSpot and drafts the reply. Live when I handed it over.

AviationClaude Code

Silent-failure monitor

A daily check that each automation ran and did real work. Its backup alarm sits on separate infrastructure, so the monitor can't fail alongside it.

Operations manual

A service manager's head-knowledge became an operations manual of about 150 pages and a 60-page Quick Start, checked against 30 days of his answers.

Hiring screen

A bilingual job application with AI screening. It checks 13 physical requirements, audits the I-9, drug-test and background steps, and writes a 12-section candidate report in about a minute. Cleared legal review before launch.

Commercial solarClaude

Meeting engine

Turns a recorded meeting into a written record and a task list, tested across the client's three businesses. The office manager ran the write-up herself on a real meeting.

HealthcareMicrosoft Copilot

Email triage

The instructions that turn Copilot into an email triage assistant for a healthcare benefits administrator in a HIPAA-regulated environment. It drafts replies from their policy knowledge base and cites its source.

Let's find the work AI should be doing for you.

Bring me the messiest part of your week. We'll talk through how it runs today and where AI fits. No pressure and no pitch deck.
